SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The San Diego Strike Force have signed offensive lineman Damien Britt to its 2022 Indoor Football League roster.

Britt, 6'3" 280 pounds, joins the Strike Force after most recently playing for San Diego Mesa College, where he was selected to the 2017 Southern California Football Association First Team All-League and received the Mesa College Football OL Trench Award. Prior to Mesa, Britt played for West Texas A&M in San Antonio, Texas.

"Damien will make an immediate impact to our team. He plays with great technique and footwork, which makes him a perfect fit into our offensive scheme. I love starting the nucleus of the team in the trenches because without a strong line, our incredibly skilled players won't have a chance. I consider him a big signing for us," said Todd Durkin, San Diego Strike Force general manager.

After playing for Mesa, Britt took two years off from football. He attended a Strike Force tryout two years ago and didn't make the team. This year, he attended the first two open workouts before being signed.

"San Diego is like my second hometown. I'm excited to be playing at 'home'. Expectations are up for me, but I'm looking forward to living up to them and keep going. I want to win, help contribute and be a major factor to the team," Britt said.

In addition to being the first local player signed to the Strike Force 2022 roster, he is also a first-time Dad to his daughter, Abriella, born last month.

The 2022 season kicks off on March 21 away against the Bay Area Panthers; the home opener is March 28 against the Arizona Rattlers. For tickets and more information: sdstrikeforce.com.
