Dunedin Blue Jays News Release

DUNEDIN, FL - Get ready for the most far out baseball game of the season. The Dunedin Blue Jays are firing up the DeLorean and going back to the 80's at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium on Saturday, August 9th, 2014. Fans can expect a night of scrunchies, leg warmers and neon as they cheer on the D-Jays.

The first 250 fans will receive bodacious Dunedin Blue Jays slap bracelets to pair with their Members Only jackets, Jordache jeans and the look that's never gone out of style, the side ponytail. High-top fades, mullets and jheri curls will fill the stands as the ballpark jams to the best hits of the 80's all night long. Plus, with Florida Auto Exchange Stadium located mere steps from the Gulf of Mexico, it's a near-guarantee that there will be an appearance by a flock of seagulls. And despite the omen, there will be a postgame concert by local Tampa Bay favorites, Stormbringer.

This and every Saturday is a Jays Win/You Win Saturday. If the D-Jays win on 80's Night, everyone in attendance can take their baseball ticket to Cobb Theatres in Countryside and redeem it for a FREE movie, including the latest film based on the 1980's cartoon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Also, it's a Junior Jays Saturday at the ballpark, where children born in the 21st century can celebrate a decade so long past, it is very likely their parents were born in the 1980's. Kids can roam if they want to, running the bases following the game.

So Come on Eileen, Billie Jean and Jessie's Girl to see the D-Jays take on the Tampa Yankees, who are like, grody to the max! Set your Swatch watches for the 6:30 p.m. first pitch. It'll be totally righteous!
