The Florida State League announced today the Player and Pitcher of the Week for the period July 28 - August 3, 2014.
The Player of the Week was Lakeland Flying Tigers Catcher Austin Green. He played in six (6) games and collected 9 hits in 22 plate appearances for a .409 batting average. His hits included two (2) homeruns and two (2) doubles. He had six (6) RBI's and scored four (4) times. His OBP was .417 and his slugging average was .773. Austin is in his second year of professional baseball and he was born in San Diego, CA.
The Pitcher of the Week was Charlotte Stone Crabs Right-hander Austin Pruitt. He started one (1) game and recorded a win. His ERA was 0.00.
