BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors Professional Hockey Club today announced the signing of defenseman Kevin Truelson and forward Josh Liebenow for the upcoming 2006-07 season.

Truelson, 25, returns to the Condors for another season on the blue line. Last season he recorded 11 goals, 36 assists for 47 points as he stood in 6th place among ECHL defensemen scorers during the regular season.

"Truelson, is a quality defenseman who plays hard night after night," said Condors Head Coach Marty Raymond. "He was one of our best and consistent d-men last season. We look forward to having him back on the blue line."

Truelson began his professional career in Fresno in 2003-04. He then split the 2004-05 season between three teams. He started the season in Fresno playing in 14 games and tallying two goals, five assists for seven points before being traded to the Gwinnett Gladiators. Truelson didn't record any points in his six-game stint with Gwinnett. He ended the 04-05 season in Long Beach.

Also returning to the Condors is 25-year-old forward Josh Liebenow for his fourth year in the pros. Liebenow joined the Condors midway through this past season, and was able to contribute two goals and three assists in 28 games during the regular season. He also recorded one goal in five playoff games.

Liebenow, a 5-foot-8 right wing, ranked in the top 15 in goals scored at the time of his departure from the Korean team Kangwonland of the Asia League.

"Josh was brought in last season to add depth when we had a string of injuries. He played hard every time he was on the ice and he stepped up when we needed him." said Raymond. "He is a quality guy on and off the ice and we like what he brings to the locker room."

Following three collegiate seasons at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, Liebenow recorded 11 goals and 22 assists in his rookie campaign with the Miami Manatees. In 2004-05, the 185-pound forward netted 15 goals in 37 games with the Huntsville Havoc.

Truelson becomes the first defensemen to sign for the upcoming season while Leibenow will join forwards Sean Venedam and Mike Hofstrand for the team's offense.
