Tribe Looks to Clinch During Six-Game Homestand

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Indians return from a 12-day roadtrip to Columbus, Rochester and Syracuse, in a position to clinch their first International League West division title since 2000 -- and their first playoff appearance since 2005. History could come against either the Louisville Bats or the Columbus Clippers as each team will visit Victory Field for a three-game series.

Pan Am Games 25th Anniversary -- In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the 1987 Pan Am Games, which were hosted by Indianapolis, gold-medal gymnast Kristie Phillips-Bannister will throw out a ceremonial first pitch before the game.

Civil Rights Game -- Indians players will be wearing throwback Indianapolis Clowns jerseys, which will be auctioned off during the game to raise money for the Negro League Baseball Museum in Kansas City, Mo.

Mad Chad -- Juggling phenom Mad Chad will entertain fans with his skills.

Sunday, August 26 vs. Columbus 1:15 p.m.

Kids Eat Free -- Children 14 and under can pick up a voucher for a free hot dog, bag of chips and drink with the price of admission.

Souvenir Sunday -- In the final Sunday giveaway of the season, the first 2,500 fans through the gates will receive a Rowdie bobblehead.

Monday, August 26 vs. Columbus 7:05 p.m.

Monday Dollar Menu -- Concessions favorites including hot dogs, peanuts and boxes of popcorn are sold for the special price of $1 each.

Ovar' Coming Together Awareness Night -- Survivors of ovarian cancer will throw out ceremonial first pitches, sing the seventh inning stretch and more to help raise awareness in support of ovarian cancer research.

After the homestand, Indianapolis hits the road for a three-game series in Toledo, the first leg of a five-game home-and-home series with the Mud Hens. The Indians will wrap up that series and the home portion of the 2012 regular season with two games against Toledo on August 31 and September 1.
