TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees in the third game of a five-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The Yanks won the first two games of the set as the home team in Buffalo. The Herd will bat last in the final three games of the set. There are only eight games in seven days left in the Bisons 2012 home schedule.

vs. YANKEES: The Bisons are 5-8 against the Yankees this season. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre has won four straight over the Herd at Coca-Cola Field; two as the road team (August 10-11) and two more as the home club (August 20-21). The Bisons have not won a season series over Scranton/Wilkes-Barre since they were the Red Barons during the 2005 season (9-7).

OH JENRRY!: RHP JENRRY MEJIA takes the mound for his eighth start this season. The righty is 2-0 in August with a 0.59ERA in three starts in 15.1 innings pitched with three walks and five strikeouts. As a starter, Mejia is 2-1 with a 1.05ERA in his seven starts, tossing 34.1 innings with 10 walks and 15 strikeouts. Mejia has not given up a home run in 25.2 innings since J.C. Linares of Pawtucket hit a solo shot on July 14.

BARRE GOOD: OF MATT DEN DEKKER is hitting .435 (10-23) with five runs scored, a home run and six runs batted in against Scranton/WB this season. INF BRAD EMAUS has also done well against the Yankees, hitting .357 (5-14) with a run batted in.

McHUGH: RHP COLLIN McHUGH has been added to the Mets' 24-hour taxi squad. McHugh was 2-4 with a 3.39ERA in 12 starts with the Bisons. He struck out 67 in 69.0 innings of work and tossed seven shutout frames for the Herd on Saturday against the Pawtucket Red Sox at Fenway Park.

BISONS BITS: INF JOSH SATIN has hit 12 of his 13 homers off of righties this season, hitting .305 (94-308) with 50RBI...Bison relievers have posted a 1.90ERA in their last eight games in 23.2 innings. They are also two for two in save situations with four holds...RHP FERNANDO CABRERA has not allowed a run is his last four games, striking out four in four innings of relief...The Bisons activated RHP DYLAN OWEN off of the Disabled List last night.

METS UPDATE : The Mets (57-66) lost to the Rockies last night by a score of 6-2. Former Bisons INF RUBEN TEJADA went 2-4 with a run scored last night. RHP CHRIS YOUNG went 7.0 innings giving up two runs, getting the loss. New York continues their series with Colorado this afternoon (1:10 p.m.).
