Indianapolis Indians News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indianapolis Indians overcame a 10-run first inning but were ultimately bested by an 18-hit barrage and four errors in a 15-10 loss to the Rochester Red Wings on Tuesday night at Victory Field.
Rochester (15-9) nearly batted around the order two times in the opening inning, sending 15 batters to the plate on seven hits and two errors.
Tribe (15-11) starter Wilfredo Boscan (1-1) took the brunt of the wear and allowed seven of eight batters to reach safely while recording only one out.
Reliever Charlie Leesman struck out five but was charged with six unearned runs in his otherwise solid 3 1/3 innings.
All nine Indians batters hit safely and both Brent Morel and Gorkys Hernandez homered. Steve Lombardozzi produced the lineup's lone multi-hit effort and has now hit safely in 20 of his 23 starts.
