
Tri-City Throws Second Straight Shutout

The pitching for the Tri-City Dust Devils (12-12) was once again dominate on Sunday night as the team beat the Everett AquaSox (12-12) 3-0. The win moves the Dust Devils into a three-way tie with Everett and Vancouver for first place in the Northwest League's North Division.
Angel Acevedo delivered one of the best performances for a Tri-City pitcher this season. Acevedo earned the win after only allowing five hits in his six scoreless innings of work. Olivier Basabe continued his hot stretch at the place. After collecting six hits in the previous two games, Basabe hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the third to give the Dust Devils the early lead. The shutout is the NWL-high third of the season for Tri-City.
The Dust Devils will look to sweep the AquaSox on Monday night. Tri-City will send right-hander Henry Henry to the mound. Everett will counter with right-hander Jheyson Caraballo. It will be a Coca-Cola Monday at Gesa Stadium, where all 22 oz. Coca-Cola products are only $1 throughout the night.
