
Tri-City Makes Second-Ever Trip to Bloomington

Bloomington, Ill. - The Tri-City Storm (12-14-2-2, 26 pts., T-7th Western) begins the second half of the season against the Bloomington Thunder (14-12-3-0, 31 pts., 6th Eastern) Friday at 7:05 p.m. The Storm has a pair of games against Bloomington this season.
Friday's showdown is the Storm's first game since the 2017 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, where Paul Washe captured Team West MVP in a 4-0 win. The 18-year-old forward scored two goals. Dayton Rasmussen did not allow a goal and made 14 saves in 32 minutes of action.
Tri-City has only played at Bloomington in 2014, sweeping the Thunder during its first season. Last season, Tri-City lost in overtime and a shootout at the Viaero Center.
The Storm's next home game is Friday, January 20, Tri-City hosts Sioux City for NE Farm Bureau Night, featuring a $5 Kids Friday, with a 7:05 p.m. puck drop. Saturday, January 21, Tri-City and Omaha tangle at the Viaero Center at 7:05 p.m. for "Taste of Nebraska" Night, presented by Buffalo Wild Wings. Fans will have the chance to sample the best food in central Nebraska from local vendors. Check out a postgame skate after the game.
