Tri-City Handed Shutout Loss
August 12, 2021 - Northwest League (NWL)
Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
For just the sixth time this season the Tri-City Dust Devils (33-53) were held scoreless as the team fell 6-0 to the Spokane Indians on Wednesday night at Gesa Stadium. Adrian Rondon continued to swing a hot bat in the series, hitting a double in the seventh inning for his fourth hit in the last two games.
Spokane starter Mitch Kilkenny earned the win after keeping the Dust Devils without a run in eight innings of work. The Indians scored two runs in the top of the second inning, giving the team a lead they would keep for the rest of the night.
Left-hander Ky Bush, the 2nd round pick by the Los Angeles Angels in this year's MLB Draft, will toe the rubber for Tri-City in his pro debut on Thursday. The Indians will counter with right-hander Will Ethridge.
