
Tri-City Brings Ott, Swanson Aboard

Kearney, Neb. - The Tri-City Storm has added forward Donovan Ott and goalie Parker Swanson to the active roster, Head Coach and General Manager Bill Muckalt announced Thursday. Both are listed as replacement players and are eligible to play the next four games. Alex Limoges, Dayton Rasmussen and Paul Washe are in Bonnyville, Alberta, Canada representing the U.S. Jr. Select Team at the 2016 World Jr. A Challenge.
Ott is 19 years old and comes to the Storm from the Johnstown Tomahawks (NAHL), where he ranked second on the club with 14 goals and 28 points in 26 games. Johnstown has the fifth-best record in the NAHL (36 points). Last season, Storm defenseman Nick Azar teamed up with the native of Lebanon, Pennsylvania on the Surrey Eagles (BCHL). Ott scored ten goals and 18 points in 46 games for Surrey.
A first round pick, 14th overall, by Sioux Falls in the 2013 USHL Futures Draft, Ott played prep hockey with Limoges at the Selects Hockey Academy.
Swanson, 18, is in the midst of his first full season with Belle Tire U18 (T1EHL), a program based in suburban Detroit. In ten games, the 6-foot-4, 170-lb. netminder recorded a 2.98 goals against average and a .914 save percentage. Last season, Swanson went 4-9-2 with a 3.20 goals against average and a .893 save percentage for Minnesota's Hopkins High School.
Tri-City is on the road at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, December 9 before hosting the Des Moines Buccaneers for Ugly Sweater Night + $1 Beers on Saturday, December 10 at 7:05 p.m. One of the most popular nights of the season, enjoy the fun by wearing your favorite ugly sweater and enjoying $1 beers and soft drinks.
