May 9, 2023 - Texas League (TL)
Northwest Arkansas Naturals News Release
Luka Tresh and Jake Means each homered in the Northwest Arkansas Naturals (15-13) 8-4 loss to the Arkansas Travelers (17-11) in the opening game of a six-game set at Dickey-Stephens Park. The series continues on Wednesday with a 6:35 PM CT first pitch.
Arkansas took a 2-0 lead in the third, but NWA got even in the fourth thanks to Tresh's blast. Jorge Bonifacio saw eight pitches before tripling to center field, scoring when Tresh hit his fourth homer of the season.
It lasted until the sixth when the Travelers crossed a run but Means gave Northwest Arkansas the lead for the first time in the seventh. With Dillan Shrum on, Means hit an 0-1 pitch over the left-field wall to give NWA a 4-3.
A run in the bottom of the seventh and four more in the eighth put the game out of reach, with the Travelers deal the Naturals an 8-4 loss to open the series.
