TRENTON, NJ (August 14, 2007) - The Trenton Devils today announced that they have agreed to terms with center Tony Zancanaro. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Zancanaro, 25, joined Trenton last spring after completing his senior season at Providence College. The Trenton, MI native notched a goal and two assists in 8 games during his professional debut before returning to school to finish his studies.

The 5-6, 180-pound forward finished his four-year collegiate career as the ultimate iron-man, competing in all 146 contests, while also contributing 52 points (23g, 29a) and 140 penalty minutes. A two-year captain, Zancanaro ranked third on Providence in both points (13) and power play goals (4) in his junior year.

Now entering his rookie season, Zancanaro becomes the second player to sign with Trenton, joining defenseman Matt Cohen.

The Trenton Devils will open the upcoming season against the Reading Royals at Sovereign Bank Arena on Friday, October 19 at 7:30pm. Full and partial season ticket plans for 2007-08 are available by calling (609) 599-9500.
