
Trax Headed to Training Camp

Macon Trax News Release
[Macon Ga.]-The Macon Trax of the WHA2, have announced their Macon portion of the training camp schedule. This year's training camp will run from Oct. 25-Nov. 5. in Macon and Atlanta.
Players must report to Coach Tommy Stewart by Oct. 25. At 7:30 am on Oct. 26, all players will be given pre-season physicals. Immediately following there will be a closed session practice.
The public will get their first chance to see the 2003-04 version of the Macon Trax on Monday, Oct. 27. All players will be on the Centreplex ice from 10:00am-12:00pm.
Fans are also invited to come to the Centreplex Oct. 27-31 for open practices. The Trax will skate on Centreplex ice from 10:00am-12:00pm and 3:00-4:30 pm.
Coach Stewart will give the players a day off on Saturday, Nov 1 in preparation for their only preseason game. The Trax will travel to Pelham, AL to face the Slammers. This game will not be open to the public at the request of the Slammers organization.
The Trax final training camp week will take place in Atlanta. The Nov. 3-5 times and locations have yet to be determined. Please check the Trax website at www.macontrax.com for further updates on training camp times and locations.
The Macon Trax will open their season versus the Lakeland Loggerheads in Florida on Nov. 6. The first ever WHA2 game will drop the puck at 7:05 pm. The game can be heard on www.irn.fm.
Do not forget to get your tickets now for the Trax home opening weekend. The home opener is Saturday, Nov. 22 versus the Alabama Slammers with puck drop at 7:35 pm. Get there early to get your magnet schedule.
