Arkansas Travelers News Release

SPRINGDALE, ARKANSAS - Game two of the Arkansas Travelers-Northwest Arkansas Naturals series was postponed due to poor field conditions and rain on Sunday. Naturals officials made the announcement shortly before the scheduled 4:05 p.m. game time. The game will be made up Monday as part of a doubleheader, beginning at 5:05 p.m. The cross-state rivals will play two seven-inning games tomorrow, with the second game beginning 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first contest.

The rainout is the third of the year and second in three days for the Travs, more rainouts than any other team in the Texas League. Today's schedule starter pitchers will be pushed back to the first game Monday. Tommy Mendoza (0-0, 5.79 ERA) will take the mound for Arkansas against the Naturals' Amalio Diaz (0-2, 5.79). The Travs' Anthony Lerew (1-0, 3.66) will square off with lefty Carlos Sencion (1-1, 3.45) in the second half of the doubleheader.

Only one ticket is required for admission to both games.
