Behind 15 hits, the Arkansas Travelers won the series finale 8-3 Tuesday night from Dr Pepper Ballpark to avoid a three-game sweep.
After allowing a two-run home run to Mike Bianucci in the first inning, Arkansas starterTrevor Reckling settled in nicely, going five innings in the winning effort.
Luis Jimenez tied the game in the third inning with a two-run homer of his own. The Travs went on to score two runs in the fourth and fifth innings, highlighted by Clay Fuller's solo-shot in the fourth.
Trailing 6-2, Frisco capitalized on a Travs fielding error in the seventh on Jose Felix's hit to third base. Engel Beltre raced home and scored from first base on the play.
Arkansas extended their lead back to four in the eighth inning on an RBI single by Jimenez, who had four RBIs on the night.
Frisco starter Ben Snyder lasted four and two-thirds innings and was pulled after giving up a two-run double to Orlando Mercado. Snyder allowed six runs on nine hits and falls to 6-2 on the season with the loss.
The RoughRiders have Wednesday off before heading out on a six-game road trip. Frisco will visit Springfield and Arkansas for three-game series. The team will return home July 14 for a four-game set with Corpus Christi.
