Tri-City Storm News Release
KEARNEY - The Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League announced Thursday that Scott Trautman, the team's director of marketing and media relations, is leaving the front office staff.
Trautman, who joined the Storm prior to the team's 2003-04 season, worked his final game on Nov. 23 and will leave the Storm front office staff Friday.
In 2003, Trautman joined the Storm as the director of media relations. After holding that position for two seasons he was named the team's director of marketing and media relations in November of 2005.
Trautman's job duties include developing and maintaining corporate partnerships, handling all aspects of the media, game day presentation and overall team management.
"Scott has done a tremendous job in his time with the team and everyone from the staff to the players and the fans will hate to see him leave," said Greg Shea, the Storm's vice president of operations. "Having said that, the existing Storm staff and everyone around the organization is excited for the challenges that lie ahead and look to build on the foundation that Scott helped create."
Trautman is leaving the Storm to join the State Farm Insurance Company as an agent in Spirit Lake, Iowa.
"I can't say enough about the Storm organization, the fans and the communities that support this form of entertainment in central Nebraska," Trautman said. "The opportunity I was given over four years ago will not soon be forgotten."
