Cedar Rapids, Iowa- The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders host their fifth annual Teddy Bear Toss presented by Bank of the West this Saturday night when the Riders meet the Waterloo Black Hawks at 7:05 at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.

Fans are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped teddy bears to Saturday night's game and toss them onto the ice after the RoughRiders score their first goal. The teddy bears will then be collected from the ice and donated to The Christmas Toy Shop.

No teddy bear? No problem. The first 1,000 fans through the doors this Saturday night will receive a free bear, courtesy of Bank of the West.

"We're very excited to be teaming up with Bank of the West for our fifth annual Teddy Bear Toss," said RoughRiders Vice President Jim Calpin. "This is always a fun night and we're happy to be able to again benefit the Christmas Toy Shop."

The two groups annually serve hundreds of families and thousands of children in the Cedar Rapids area. The Jaycees and the United States Marine Corps coordinate the Cedar Rapids area Toys for Tots program.
