
Trappers Hit a Homerun at the Hospital

EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Trapper Baseball Club will trade in their baseballs and ball gloves for helping hands and smiles when they make a visit to the Stollery Children's Hospital (8440-112 St.) on Tuesday, June 3. Seven players from the Trappers ball club (Tim Drew, Joe Vitiello, Randy Knorr, Britt Reames, Terrmel Sledge, Edwards Guzman, Luis Figueroa) will visit with the children at the hospital's "Beach Playground", located on the 4th floor outside Unit 4C. The players will mingle with the kids and sign Trapper merchandise from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
This will be the first of two Trappers visits to the Stollery Children's Hospital. The Trappers will also be involved with the Edmonton Public Library's Summer Reading Program in July-August. This will be the third year the ballclub has participated in the reading program, donating tickets and a sponsored night at the ballpark for top city readers. The Trapper players also donate their time to read to the kids at all city branches of the library.
Tickets for all regular season home games are on sale and can be purchased through Ticketmaster at 451-8000. Twenty-game packs, ten-game packs and 2003 season tickets are also currently on sale at the Trapper General Office. For more information call 414-4450.
