Chattanooga Lookouts News Release

Lookouts outfielder Taylor Trammell finished a home run shy of the cycle in the team's 10-5 loss to the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. The team has now lost 14 games in a row, one shy of the Southern League record.

After giving up two runs in the first inning, the home squad battled back, scoring one run in the first and one in the second. With the game tied, Jacksonville siezed the lead in the third on a Corey Bird two run homer. They opened it up in the fifth by socring five runs, highlighted by a Anfernee Seymour grandslam.

Chattanooga ended up scoring five runs, but could't overcome the deficit. In the loss Mitch Nay recorded a hit and two more RBIs to bring his total to 54. The reigning player of the month is now hitting .304 with 13 homers and 54 RBIs. Nay currently leads the league in slugging percentage at .561 and OPS at .927.

Tomorrow, the team heads to Birmingham and turns to LHP Alex Wood. Wood is making his Chattanooga debut on a ML Rehab assignment.

The team returns home on Saturday, July 27 at 7:15 p.m. To get tickets to see the Lookouts and the ZOOperstars! on Saturday visit Lookouts.com.
