WINNIPEG, MB - The following is a list of happenings from Day 17 of the 2006 Winnipeg Blue Bombers training camp:
STARS OF THE DAY: CB William Fields, RB/REC Henri Childs, S Donnavan Carter, who had a pass knockdown, and DE Gavin Walls, who had a nifty interception off a pass deflection.
NEW ARRIVALS: None.
DEPARTURES: None.
INJURIES: WR Jamie Stoddard (charley horse, day-to-day), WR Chad Rempel (hamstring, week) DB Kelly Malveaux (hamstring, week).
TEAM NEWS: The Bombers play their first road game of 2006 when they travel to Montreal for a pre-season contest THURSDAY, JUNE 8 against the Alouettes. Game time is 6 p.m. (Central). The game will be broadcast on CJOB 680 A.M. Coach Doug Berry announced today the names of the players who won't make the trip to Montreal. Notables include QB Brad Banks, DB Kelly Malveaux, DB Jazzmen Williams, OL Dominic Picard, OL Jermese Jones, DE Jon Oosterhuis, WR Jamie Stoddard and DL Cameron Legault.
