
Training camp opens for Polar Twins

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The time has come for all Polar Twins hopefuls to take to the ice. Today marks the opening of training camp for 2004 and with it the determination of 29 players vying for position on the Polar Twins roster.
Sharing their ice with the Asheville Aces, the Polar Twins will alternate between early morning and late morning practices Monday through Thursday. A scrimmage between the Polar Twins and the Aces will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Fans and media representatives are welcome to attend to get an early look at this year's team. A full schedule is listed below:
October 25th: Aces practice 9:00am - 10:30am Polar Twins practice 11:00am - 12:00pm Scrimmage 2:00pm - 4:30pm
October 26th: Polar Twins practice 9:00am - 10:30am Aces practice 11:00am - 12:30pm Scrimmage 2:00pm - 4:30pm
October 27th: Aces practice 9:00am - 10:30am Polar Twins practice 11:00am - 12:00pm Scrimmage 2:00pm - 4:30pm
October 28th: Polar Twins practice 9:30am - 11:00am Aces practice 11:30am - 1:00pm
The regular season commences this Friday, October 29th at 7:30 p.m. against the Jacksonville Barracudas right here at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum Annex. Saturday, October 30th the Polar Twins host the Asheville Aces, also at 7:30 p.m. Great seats are still available for both games so come out and support the Triad's only pro hockey team.
