Montreal Alouettes News Release
Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, June 13, 2005 - The Alouettes continued training camp on the Campus du Fort Saint-Jean today. Here's a look at Day 16 of practice:
Second-to-last day
Today was the second-to-last day of practice. Players had a regular two-hour workout.
Will not play
Coach Matthews confirmed that receiver Kwame Cavil (knee), receiver Terry Vaughn (toes), linebacker Michael Botterill (elbow) and centre Bryan Chiu (personal) are not expected to play on Thursday in Ottawa.
Watch for Vilimek
One of the players to watch at camp is definitely fullback Mike Vilimek, who works hard every day. "As a former running back, he has the imposing physical stature that will help him stand out on offence and on special teams," said Coach Matthews.
According to Coach Matthews
''I have no clue which way we're going to go in our kicking game right now. Neither kicker has done enough to elevate himself above the other."
Tomorrow's schedule
The Alouettes will practice for the last time at the Campus du Fort Saint-Jean tomorrow at 10 a.m. Please contact the communications department to confirm practice location.
