Bangor Lumberjacks News Release

Bangor, ME- The Bangor Lumberjacks, a proud member of the Northeast League, are releasing a traffic advisory for tonight's home opener at Mahaney Diamond on the campus of the University of Maine in Orono.

Construction on the bridge as Stillwater Ave. crosses over the river has been causing delays for normal traffic and the amount of traffic that tonight's opener is expected to cause will have serious delays, as the road has been narrowed to one lane.

The Lumberjacks suggest that people attending tonight's game take exit 50 from I-95 and if coming from the Bangor area, take a right off the exit ramp, or if coming from the north, take a left off the exit ramp. From there, take a left onto Route 2 and then a left onto College Ave. Proceed down College Ave. until you see the Alfond Arena and take a right just before the arena. Mahaney Diamond is located behind the Alfond Stadium.

The Lumberjack's home opener is fast approaching. The Jacks will take on the New Jersey Jackals on Friday, May 30 at 7:15 PM at Mahaney Diamond on the campus of the University of Maine in Orono. There will be fireworks after the game presented by the American Red Cross Blood Donation Center. Tickets are available by calling the Lumberjacks Ticket Office at (207) 947-1900 or by stopping in the Lumberjacks Pro Shop in the Bangor Mall, across from Ruby Tuesday.
