Trading Cards, 2-For-1 Beer, Throwback Jerseys and More this Weekend

The Des Moines Buccaneers are home for the final two-game weekend of the regular season this Friday and Saturday night and the weekend is jam-packed with fun events and giveaways for Buccaneers fans.
Des Moines is in the thick of the Western Conference playoff race, sitting in 7th place but just one point back of the final playoff spot, currently held by Sioux Falls.
The Buccaneers will host the top team in the West, the Fargo Force, on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. and close out the weekend on Saturday with a 6:00 p.m. game against the Sioux City Musketeers.
FRIDAY NIGHT
Friday, April 7 is 2-for-1 Beer Night, plus a Trading Card Giveaway from Jay's CD & Hobby. The 2-for-1 beer night includes buy one get one on domestic tallboy beers and seltzers.The first 500 fans will receive a pack of trading cards featuring the final roster of players for the 2022-23 season, sponsored by Jay's CD & Hobby, who will host an autograph signing at their store at a future date.
SATURDAY NIGHT
Saturday, April 8 includes the Easter Eggstravaganza, Thunder Sticks giveaway and a special Throwback Jersey for JDRF. The Buccaneers will wear a throwback jersey that will be auctioned off live after the game to benefit JDRF, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, sponsored by Niece Trucking. The first 500 fans will receive Thunder Sticks sponsored by Wendy's. Saturday also includes a kids Easter egg hunt throughout the concourse. Eggs will not be hidden in the stands or in restricted areas, to keep fans, kids and players safe. It's also a Kids Club game for members of the Buccaneers Kids Club.
Both Friday & Saturday's games will feature first intermission performances by skaters from the Central Iowa Figure Skating Club.
Prior to Saturday's game, there will be a pregame Beer Tasting in the Buccaneers Lounge at 4:30 p.m. with beers from our partners at Confluence Brewing and several other local Iowa brewing companies. The tasting will include two drink tickets for beer, beer samples, a souvenir mason jar, and an arena level adult game ticket, all for $30. Season ticket holders may purchase the beer tasting package for just $10. Sales of the Beer Tasting event will conclude prior to puck drop.
