Tyler Anderson (1-0, 3.60), the 20th overall pick in the 2011 draft, made his professional debut with the Asheville Tourists Friday night. Anderson pitched well and helped lead Asheville to a 10-3 victory over the Rome Braves.

The Tourists jumped on Rome's starter A.J. Holland (1-6, 5.82) with two runs in the first inning. Tyler Massey and Will Swanner each delivered RBI base hits in the frame. Jared Simon put the Tourists in front 4-0 with a two-run Home Run in the second.

Rome responded off Anderson in the third. Wil Skinner put the Braves on the board with a solo Home Run. In the fifth, Skinner delivered again; this time with a two-run double, cutting the Tourists lead to just one.

Asheville plated a big insurance run in the sixth when Brian Humphries scored Harold Riggins on a sacrifice fly. Anderson turned the game over to the bullpen and the relief pitching was sensational. Russell Brewer, Ken Roberts, and Jefri Hernandez combined to pitch four perfect innings; 12 up and 12 down.

In Asheville's half of the ninth, the visitors broke the game open. The T's sent 10 men to the plate and scored five runs to secure the victory. The Tourists have clinched at least a series split and look to make it three in a row over the Braves on Saturday night.
