Tortugas Suspended Saturday Night

DAYTONA BEACH, FL - The Daytona Tortugas game against St. Lucie was suspended in the middle of the fifth inning Saturday night, with the Mets leading 5-3 at Radiology Associates Field at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.

The game was suspended three outs prior to becoming official, following the second rain delay of the night.

Saturday's game will be made up Sunday at 4 PM, completing the final half of the contest. Sunday's regularly scheduled game will then begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of the resumption and will now be seven innings in length. Gates will open at 3:30 PM.

RHP Tony Santillan (3-3, 2.44) will get the ball for Daytona in game two.

The first 500 fans Sunday will receive a free Tortugas t-shirt. Plus, there will be holiday fireworks following the game and free admission for past and present service members.
