PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Playing through a heavy rain for much of the night, the Fort Myers Miracle fell to the Charlotte Stone Crabs on Saturday in game one of a doubleheader, 2-0, at Charlotte Sports Park.

The game was called after the top of the fifth due to unplayable field conditions. Game two was postponed and will be played Sunday afternoon as part of a doubleheader.

Charlotte plated a run in the first on a Nate Lowe single and added another run an inning later on a Lucius Fox base hit.

Miracle right-hander Tyler Wells tossed a four-inning complete game. Wells (3-3) allowed two runs on six hits.

Bake Bivens (1-0) tossed a five-inning shutout to earn his first win of the season. The Charlotte right-hander allowed three hits.

The first game of Sunday's doubleheader is set for 12:35 p.m. Game two will follow 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. Both games are seven innings.
