
Toros Sweep Weekend Series Against Red Claws

Cedar Park, TX - In front of a crowd of 3,768 fans at Cedar Park Center, the Toros notched their largest victory of the season as they defeated the Maine Red Claws, 116-77, on Saturday night. The victory marked the Toros sixth win in a row.
The Toros took the lead early, going on a 9-0 run after an early tie at five. They ended the quarter with a 10-0 run, taking a 35-20 lead into the second quarter.
In the second quarter, Austin would build their lead to 22 points, their largest lead of the half. Lester Hudson hit a mid-range jump shot with four seconds left in the quarter to give the Toros a 62-40 advantage at halftime.
Austin added to their lead in third quarter, at one point owning a 30-point advantage. They took an 88-62 lead into the fourth quarter.
The Toros were up by as much as 41 points in the fourth quarter. Maine was held to just 15 fourth quarter points as Austin won the game, 116-77.
Eric Dawson, Julian Wright, and Cory Joseph all recorded double-doubles for the Toros. Hudson went 6-6 from the field, including 3-3 from beyond the arc, and scored 15 points.
Morris Almond led the Red Claws with 18 points and six rebounds. Four Red Claws scored in double digits.
