Austin's Justin Dentmon Signs with San Antonio Spurs

NEW YORK, March 24, 2012 - The San Antonio Spurs today signed Austin Toros guard Justin Dentmon for the 39th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2011-12 NBA Development League season. Dentmon joins more than 100 NBA players with NBA D-League experience currently on 2011-12 rosters.
Dentmon (6-0, 285) has appeared in 38 games with the Toros this season, averaging a team-high 22.9 points to go with 5.3 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 37.3 minutes. A 2012 NBA D-League All-Star, Dentmon has scored in double figures in 37 of 38 games, including 28 games with 20 or more points and six games with 30 or more points.
Currently in his second NBA D-League season, Dentmon spent the 2010-11 campaign with the Texas Legends, where he appeared in all 50 of the team's games and averaged 19.1 points, 4.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 35.1 minutes. In 88 career NBA D-League games, Dentmon averaged 20.7 points, 4.6 assists, 3.6 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 26.0 minutes.
Dentmon is expected to join the Spurs today and be available when the team travels to take on the New Orleans Hornets tonight.
