AUSTIN, TX (June 18, 2009) - The Austin Toros tip-off the 2009 summer youth basketball camp series next week, June 22-26 at Brushy Creek Recreation Center in Round Rock. The Toros will host three camps this summer, partnering with Brushy Creek, YMCA East Communities (July 13-17), and Hoop Zone (August 3-6) to provide full and half day instruction opportunities. Camp instructors include former Toros players and staff, professional athletes, and varsity basketball coaches from local high schools.
Toros youth camps offer individual skills training, group games, and scrimmages for upcoming 3rd thru 9th graders. All campers receive ticket vouchers for use at 2009-10 Toros home games, lunch, and a t-shirt as part of the registration package. Schlotzsky's, Chick-fil-A (Braker location), and Austin Regional Clinic are co-sponsors for this year's camps. On-site registration is permitted during camp sessions based on availability.
