
Toros host free post game concert by the Spazmatics

AUSTIN, TEXAS, January 25, 2006 - The Austin Toros are pleased to announce that the Spazmatics will perform live in a post game concert Thursday, January 26 as the Toros host the Arkansas RimRockers for College Night. The game will tip off at 7:30 p.m. at the Austin Convention Center.
"Thursday's College Night will be an exciting night at the Austin Convention Center, filled with great basketball and a unique post game concert featuring the Spazmatics," said team president Mike Berry. "We are delighted to offer an array of great activities that promises to be fun for families and fans of all ages."
The Spazmatics entertain fans with their theme songs that combine hits of the 80's with today's popular music. Their spastic show, complete with a cool science nerd wardrobe style and dance moves of the decade, covers a variety of music by bands including The Go-Gos, Oingo Boingo, The Cure, INXS, Duran Duran, Berlin, Madonna, Billy Idol and many more great bands that were popular in the 80's.
In addition to the concert, College Night features an exciting array of activities throughout the game. Basketball fans will get an opportunity to meet and greet MTV The Gauntlet stars Ace and Syrus, who will be on hand to participate in various on-court activities in addition to a post-game autograph session.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and parking garages are conveniently located on the corners of 5th & Red River and 2nd & Brazos Street. The Toros are affiliated with the NBA's Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers and the 2005 World Champion San Antonio Spurs.
