AUSTIN, TEXAS, March 7, 2006 - The Austin Toros will host the Roanoke Dazzle for Cheerleading Night on Wednesday, March 8 at the Austin Convention Center. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
The Toros Cheerleading Night will recognize area cheer and dance teams during various on-court activities. Various teams including will also have the opportunity to perform their competition routines during the halftime break. Youth 14 and under attending Wednesday's game will receive a pair of pom-poms or thunderstix, compliments of Austin Telco.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and parking is conveniently located on the corners of 5th and Red River and 2nd and Trinity Street. Tickets start as low as $9 per seat and can be purchased at austintoros.com or at the nine local Pink's Wireless locations in the Austin and Round Rock areas, as well as Waterloo Records. The NBA Development League includes the Albuquerque Thunderbirds (N.M.), Arkansas RimRockers (Little Rock), Austin Toros (Texas), Fayetteville Patriots (N.C.), Florida Flame (Ft. Myers), Fort Worth Flyers (Texas), Roanoke Dazzle (Va.), and Tulsa 66ers (Okla.). The Toros are affiliated with the NBA's Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers and the 2005 World Champion San Antonio Spurs.
