Tucson, AZ - The Tucson Toros blew out the Tijuana Cimarrones 26-0 late Friday evening on Hispanic Heritage night at Hi Corbett Field. The game set a new record for runs scored and largest margin of victory for the GBL Toros.

Tucson batted around three times in the 2nd, 5th, and 8th innings scoring 6, 9, and 8 runs in those innings respectively. A 6 run 2nd inning was fueled by a 2 RBI triple by CF Josh Womack and two separate 2 RBI singles by SS Ryan Priddy and C Luis Apodaca.

With their singles, both Apodaca and Priddy increased their hitting streaks to 8 straight games. Apodaca also extended a streak in which he reached base in 10 straight at bats. Womack's triple was his 9th of the year giving him sole possession for the most in the Golden Baseball League.

In the 5th inning Tucson exploded again for 9 more runs, batting around once again to go up 15-0 as 6 different Toros hit RBI singles within the monster inning including Priddy, Apodaca, RF Ron Perodin, 3B Wally Backman Jr., 2B Jose Valdez, and Toros starting pitcher John Bannister.
