Toronto FC to take on New York

Toronto FC News Release

This Thursday, Toronto FC (5-15-6) looks to see if they can run with the Red Bulls (11-10-6) and snatch a late season victory over their Eastern Conference rivals. New York will be looking to secure three points this game as they have yet to clinch a playoff spot, and a win against TFC will just about secure their place. As for Toronto FC, hope remains as we are still not mathematically eliminated from the playoffs! Four wins in the final four games with a 5+ goal difference each game combined with four Chicago losses by more than five goals means that TFC still has a shot....so we're telling you there's a chance! Realistically though, TFC is looking to put on a good show for us all.

SCOUTING REPORT - Match in support of Right To Play

Toronto FC vs. New York Red Bulls October 4th, Kickoff at 7:00 PM TV: The Score (LIVE)

Based on the last two games against New York, there are really only two players that Toronto FC should be concerned with. One is a young phenom named Jozy Altidore, and the other is league MVP candidate Juan Pablo Angel. Combined, they have accounted for all five of the Red Bull goals against TFC. The good news for Toronto FC is that New York has only one win in their last seven games, and have tied their last three games 2-2.
