Toronto FC Sign Defender Antony Curic to Short-Term Agreement

Toronto FC has signed defender Antony Curic to a short-term loan agreement from Toronto FC II, the club announced today. Per MLS rules, the short-term agreement allows clubs to sign players on loan from their MLS NEXT Pro affiliate for MLS, U.S. Open Cup, Concacaf Champions League, Canadian Championship and exhibition matches.

Curic, 22, recently was called up to the First Team on a short-term loan deal and made his debut with Toronto FC as a substitute against CF Montréal on May 13. The defender originally joined Toronto FC II on December 16, 2020, and made his debut against North Texas SC on May 22, 2021. In three seasons with TFC II, Curic has made 37 appearances (29 starts) in MLS NEXT Pro and USL League One action across three seasons for Toronto FC II (2021, 2022 and 2023). He originally joined the TFC Academy in January 2020 after spending four years playing with Erin Mills Soccer Club.
