Toronto FC Loan Defender Luke Singh to Atlético Ottawa

Toronto FC announced today that the club has sent defender Luke Singh on loan to Atlético Ottawa of the Canadian Premier League (CPL) for the remainder of the 2024 season.

Singh, 23, has spent the past two seasons on loans with FC Edmonton and Atlético Ottawa, making a combined 48 appearances in the CPL. In his first stint with Atlético Ottawa, he made 27 appearances and scored one goal across all competitions (CPL regular season and Canadian Championship). Prior to his time with Ottawa, Singh also spent one season on loan at FC Edmonton and appeared in 24 matches across all competitions (CPL and Canadian Championship).

The defender originally joined Toronto FC when he signed a Homegrown Player contract on April 16, 2021. In his first season with the Reds, he made eight appearances and registered one goal across all competitions (MLS Regular Season and Concacaf Champions League). Singh made his First Team debut against Club Leon in the Round of 16 at the Concacaf Championship on April 7, 2021.

The Brampton, Ontario native joined Toronto FC II in March 2019 and went on loan to Danish football club Brøndby IF for the remainder of the 2019 season. The defender made 24 appearances and scored two goals for Brøndby. He returned to the Young Reds for the 2021 campaign, where he made seven appearances and scored two goals in the USL League One. He originally joined the TFC Academy in 2017.

Internationally, Singh has represented Trinidad & Tobago at the youth at the Concacaf U-20 Championship and has made two appearances with the senior team during the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup.
