Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

The Albuquerque Isotopes, in conjunction with Citadel Broadcasting Company and the American Red Cross, will be holding a "Haitian Relief Pitch" drive-thru fundraiser at Isotopes Park from Noon - 6:00 PM today, with proceeds going towards victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti.

A special drive-thru will be set up in Parking Lot C (along University Blvd.- west side of stadium) at Isotopes Park with volunteers collecting cash or check donations. Each person who donates will receive a voucher good for one free ticket to a 2010 Isotopes game and a raffle ticket from Citadel that will give them a chance to win merchandise, gift certificates to restaurants, and even ski vacations to Durango, Colorado. Those who donate $30 or more will also get a special t-shirt. Anyone wishing to donate by check should make it out to the American Red Cross.

On-air personalities from each of five Citadel stations (770 KKOB, 93.3 KOB-FM, 92.3 KRST, 99.5 Magic FM, and 610 The Sports Animal) as well as the Isotopes' loveable mascot Orbit and volunteers from the Red Cross will be on hand throughout the afternoon collecting donations. Rex's Hamburgers will also be present cooking lunch for the volunteers.

Money raised will go directly to the Red Cross to support relief efforts in Haiti, where nearly 3-million people, a third of the country's entire population, are in need of emergency aid.

Major League Weekend returns to Isotopes Park this April 2 and April 3 with back-to-back exhibition games featuring the Colorado Rockies and Seattle Mariners. Tickets are on sale now exclusively for 'Topes Season Ticket and Mini-Plan Holders and will go on sale to the general public February 20.
