
'Topes rally to sink Zephrys, 5-4

Infielder Kevin Randel delivered an RBI base-hit in the bottom of the ninth to cap a three-run inning and give the Albuquerque Isotopes a 5-4 win over the New Orleans Zephyrs in Spring Training action today in Jupiter, Florida. The 'Topes, winners of four straight, are still undefeated in Spring Training play, bolstering their record to 4-0-1.
Down 4-2 in the final frame, Lee Mitchell hit a two-run double to pull the Isotopes within one before Randel won the game with a line-drive base hit to centerfield. Both Randel and Mitchell starred for Double-A Carolina a year ago.
Scott Seabol got the Isotopes on the board with an RBI in the third, while starting pitcher Jeff Fulchino threw three strong frames, allowing one run.
Albuquerque will spend tomorrow in camp before resuming Spring Training play on Wednesday by hosting the Memphis Redbirds at Jupiter.
