Top Scorer Returns to Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. (August 31, 2006) - Head Coach Troy Mann announced that the Columbia Inferno have agreed to terms with center Brad Ralph for the 2006-07 season. Ralph, who was a fan favorite during his stint with the Inferno, joins Corey Hessler as the second former player to return to the organization this off season.

Ralph, 6'2, 190 lbs., Richmond, Ontario native played with the Inferno during the 2004-05 season. He was the team's second leading scorer with 27 goals, 26 assists for 53 points in 65 games. Ralph has played for the Mississippi Sea Wolves, Augusta Lynx and the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL during his professional career. He also spent time in the American Hockey League with the Springfield Falcons where he appeared in 66 games, scoring 10 goals and 17 assists for 27 points.

"Brad is an excellent signing for our organization. He is a big, strong center who can contribute in all facets of the game," said Coach Troy Mann. "A former fan favorite with the Inferno, Brad will be counted on as one of our marquee players this season. In addition, I expect him to be one of our leaders in the locker room."

He played for the Aalborg IK team in Denmark last season where he had eight goals and 13 assists in 35 games.
