Top-ranked Aeros down Houston, 139-125
December 7, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Arkansas Aeros News Release
HOUSTON -- The Arkansas Aeros took their American Basketball Association No. 1 ranking to Houston on Thursday night and came away with a 139-125 victory over the Undertakers.
"We hit some big shots," said Aeros head coach Bob Hoffman. "Curtis Haywood hit like 11 3's and Todd (Day) hit some. I thought Quannas White and Jarred Merrill had great games, and Jamel Coachman came in and played some big minutes for us."
The win moved the Aeros to 10-1 on the season, while the Undertakers dropped to 4-6 with the loss.
Arkansas plays Waco on Friday in the third of a five-game road swing. From there, the team will go to Dallas on Sunday to face the Tycoons before meeting the Arkansas RiverCatz on Dec. 16 in Pine Bluff.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
