December 8, 2006 Orleans, Massachusetts: The Cape Cod Frenzy of the American Basketball Association (ABA) announces that they have signed a former UMASS Minuteman, 6'6 power forward Raheim Lamb.

Lamb was regarded as one of the top 150 players in the nation as a high school senior at Boston English. He led the Bulldogs to back to back city titles in 1999 and 2000 while averaging 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 blocks per game. He played for the famed Boston Amateur Basketball Club (BABC) AAU program, the same program that current Cape Cod Frenzy players Steve Hailey, Jamaal Brooks, Jermaine Watson, and Richmond Pittman also played for.

At UMASS, Lamb was named to the 2001-2002 Atlantic 10 All Defensive team. He completed his collegiate career at Curry College, earning first team all conference honors.

"We needed to shore up the interior and Raheim will bring energy and inside play that we really need," explained Frenzy GM Ian McCarthy, "we've been playing with one center (Ife Anosike) and just one forward (6'6 Richmond Pittman), and while these guys have played admirably they needed help."

Lamb will be in uniform when the Montreal Matrix come to town this Sunday December 10th, 2006 at 4:05 PM at Barnstable High School. Tickets are 14.00 for adults and 8.00 for students with ID, and just 4.00 for kids under 12. You can always buy Frenzy tickets online at www.capecodfrenzy.com via E-Ticket or at the game.
