Aces hold mini-clinic

December 7, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Las Vegas Aces News Release

Orlando, FL. The ABA Orlando Aces held a Mini-Basketball Clinic as children of all ages, including one child's mother, joined in on the action as Aces players taught some of the basic fundamentals of basketball like dribbling, passing and teamwork.

"Our mission is to utilize the game of basketball as a tool to invest in the lives of others, whether they are participants, spectators, young, old, represent the Orlando community or are in other places throughout the world, " said Head Coach Todd Triplett. "You can expect events like this from the Orlando Aces all year long."

The Orlando Aces will also be a part of Project Homeless Connect this Friday, December 8th, helping provide some needed items and services for some of Orlando's economically challenged citizens. The Aces hit the road for Ft. Lauderdale this Saturday to take on the Miami Tropics who are on an impressive 6-game winning streak. "We owe them one," said Coach Triplett. "Hopefully we can start our own winning streak with a win against them." For more information on the Orlando Aces, visit www.orlandoaces.com or www.abalive.com.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
