Greenville, SC - The nightcap of a scheduled day-night doubleheader between the Augusta GreenJackets and Greenville Drive was postponed after a delay of nearly two and half hours on Tuesday night in Greenville.
The teams will make up the rainout of the nightcap with a traditional twi-night doubleheader beginning at 5:05 p.m. from Fluor Field on Wednesday afternoon. Both games will be seven-inning contests.
The GreenJackets are now 5-1 on their current eight-game road trip and have won five straight - a new season-high. In the opener of the Wednesday doubleheader, Kyle Crick (6-6, 2.34) will take the mound against Greenville's Jason Garcia (6-5, 6.08). Paul Davis (5-7, 3.83) will take the mound against Luis Diaz (3-8, 6.78) in the second game First pitch of game one from Greenville comes at 5:05 p.m. with radio coverage beginning at 4:50 p.m. on ESPN Radio 1340 AM and www.greenjacketsbaseball.com.
The GreenJackets return home for the season's final Thirsty Thursday on Thursday August 23rd as they open a four-game series with the Greensboro Grasshoppers.
