Tonight's Capitals/Maui Game Postponed

Edmonton, AB - Tonight's North American League game between the Edmonton Capitals and Maui Na Koa Ikaika has been postponed as a result of rain forcing unplayable field conditions.
Edmonton (19-12) and Maui (12-16) will now play back-to-back seven-inning games on Thursday, with the double-header starting at 6 p.m. Doors at TELUS Field will open at 5 p.m.
Fans who purchased tickets to tonight's game may redeem them for tickets to any Capitals home game during the remainder of the 2011 season.
The 2011 Canada Day Series presented by Mott's continues with Thursday's double-header, which will be another edition of Thirsty Thursdays presented by Hudsons Canadian Tap House, 100.3 The Bear and Virgin Radio. Fans can enjoy Molson beer products for just $3, while Caesars are just $3 all series.
Friday's 7 p.m. game will be the biggest Canada Day party in all of Edmonton, with the best seats in the city to watch the river valley fireworks display.
The series concludes on Saturday also at 7 p.m. with Edmonton Oilers 2011 first-overall draft pick Ryan Nugent-Hopkins throwing the ceremonial first pitch and signing autographs. Saturday's game will also include another Cheemo Mascot Race.
The Capitals are the city's most affordable entertainment option in the summer featuring Edmonton's largest patio! Season seats start at less than $9 per seat. Individual game tickets start at $10 in advance and can be purchased at the Capitals Box Office (10233 - 96 Ave) during regular business hours Monday through Friday, at any Ticketmaster location, online at capsbaseball.ca or via phone at 780-414-GOAL (4625).
