
Tomahawks Fall to Warriors 7-2

Johnstown Tomahawks News Release
The Johnstown Tomahawks fell to the Michigan Warriors 7-2 on Saturday Night at the Cambria County War Memorial.
Michigan got on the board first, as Cody Kuster's shot made it past the right side of Johnstown goaltender Ryan Bednard at 14:06 of the first period. Zed Dietrich had the assist on the goal.
Zach Zech got the Tomahawks on the board 4:31 into the second period, as his shot from the right side slid past goaltender Ryan Wischow and into the net on the left side. Andrew Romano earned the assist on Zech's second goal of the season.
Michigan regained the lead in the second, as Alex Berardinelli took a quick pass from Colin Horton and scoring at 12:51.
Mitch Wedding made it a 3-1 game as his shot made it under the crossbar at 15:09 of the second period.
Michigan picked up third period goals from Mike Behm at 7:53, Kuster at 8:42, Cody Lichtenvoort at 11:21, and Colin Horton to extend their lead to 7-1.
Josh Bowes slid a shot from Casey Linkenheld inside the right post to set the final score at 7-2 with 1:32 remaining in the third period.
Ryan Wischow got the win, stopping 19 of 21 shots. Ryan Bednard took the loss, stopping 19 of 24 shots. Nick DeSimmone came in for the first time this season, stopping 8 of 10 shots. The Tomahawks and Warriors went a combined 0-for-14 on the power-play.
