
Tomahawks Fall to Port Huron 4-1

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - The Johnstown Tomahawks opened up Kids Weekend against the Port Huron Fighting Falcons with a 4-1 loss at the Cambria County War Memorial on Saturday night.
Jon Hall got on the board first for the Fighting Falcons, at 7:43 in the first period, by going five-hole on the Tomahawks' Brett Young to give them a 1-0 lead after one.
The Fighting Falcons extended their lead to 2-0 when they found the back of the net with a goal by Nick Horne at 3:09 in the second. Alex Archibald scored off the face-off six minutes later to give the Fighting Falcons a 3-0 at the end of the second.
Zach Badalamenti made it 4-0 for the Fighting Falcons at 13:53 in the third. Brady Bender got the Tomahawks on the board at 15:43 in the final period to set the score 4-1.
The Tomahawks' Brett Young made 26 saves on 30 shots and stopped a penalty shot by the Fighting Falcons' Vito Aluia. Alex Blankenburg of the Fighting Falcons stopped 28 of 29 shots.
The Tomahawks battle the Fighting Falcons at the War Memorial on Sunday at 1 p.m. The game concludes Kids Weekend with a team poster giveaway and a post-game skate.
