Tomahawks Announce Promotional Schedule & Individual Game Ticket Sales

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - The Johnstown Tomahawks have announced that individual tickets will go on sale Thursday, August 30 at 10:00 AM for all games of the team's 2012-2013 inaugural season.
Fans can purchase tickets at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena Box Office, by calling the Tomahawks at (814) 536-4625, or online via the Tomahawks website. Both the Tomahawks office and the arena box office are open Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Single-game tickets begin at just $6 for kids 12 and under and $8 for adults.
"Tickets have been set at a very affordable price so that families can come out and enjoy great, high-intensity hockey and in-game entertainment," said General Manager Rick Boyd. "We have a number of great promotions with a lot of special guests throughout the season to give our fans the best experience possible."
The Tomahawks are also excited to announce their promotional and giveaway schedules, which include multiple theme nights for fans to participate in during the season:

September 29 vs Michigan Warriors: Opening Day HockeyFest & Magnetic Schedule Giveaway
The Tomahawks invite fans to celebrate the team's inaugural home game on Saturday with games, activities, food, and music for the entire family. The festival will take place along Napoleon Street before the Tomahawks hit the ice for the first time at the War Memorial Arena.
October 6 vs Janesville Jets: Guns & Hoses Night Honoring Local Police, Fire & Rescue
On this night the Tomahawks will pay tribute to local EMS, police, and fire departments, which will face off in a charity hockey game directly following the Tomahawks game. All fans are welcome to stay for the free game, and all money raised through Chuck-a-Puck and 50/50 raffles will benefit local police and fire charities.
October 19 vs Sault Ste. Marie Eagles: Pink at the Rink
In partnership with Conemaugh Health System, the Tomahawks will raise awareness for cancer. Players will don specialty pink jerseys and the War Memorial Arena ice will be flooded pink for the night.
October 20 vs Sault Ste. Marie Eagles: Pink at the Rink Jersey Auction
Fans have the opportunity to take home a game-worn Tomahawks Pink at the Rink jersey.
November 3 vs Springfield Jr. Blues: Tomahawks Hat Giveaway
The first 1,500 fans attending the game will receive a Tomahawks logo hat.
November 9 vs Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings: Faith & Family Night
Following the game, listen to a Tomahawks player give a talk on faith and sports.
November 10 vs Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings: Veterans & Military Appreciation Night
The Tomahawks and their fans will honor local veterans and current military personnel. The team will wear special military jerseys to mark this special night. The first 2,000 fans will receive flags to commemorate the night.
December 14 vs Jamestown Ironmen: Hanson Brothers Night
The famous "Hanson Brothers" of the cult classic Slap Shot make their return to Johnstown! Come celebrate the movie, hockey, and the city as the brothers make an appearance to support the Tomahawks.
December 15 vs Jamestown Ironmen: Teddy Bear Toss
Bring a teddy bear to toss onto the ice following the Tomahawks game. All teddy bears collected will support the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, which collects toys as Christmas gifts for needy children.
December 31 vs Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings: New Year's Eve & Cowbell Giveaway
The great New Year's Eve tradition returns to Johnstown! Kick off your celebrations early with the Tomahawks 6:00 p.m. matchup. The first 1,500 fans receive a Tomahawks cowbell.
January 12 vs Port Huron Fighting Falcons: Kids Day & Team Photo Giveaway
Kids attending the game will have the opportunity to interact with mascots and enjoy fun activities and games.
January 19 vs Michigan Warriors: Hockey Heritage Night & Souvenir Puck Giveaway
Take a walk down memory lane as the Tomahawks pay tribute to Johnstown's renowned hockey history. Jets and Chiefs memorabilia will line the halls and fans can learn more about the city's beloved place in the hockey world. The first 1,000 fans receive a souvenir Tomahawks puck.
February 2 vs Sault Ste. Marie Eagles: Youth Hockey Night
Johnstown's local youth hockey teams will be recognized during this night. Come with your coaches and teammates to celebrate the game of hockey!
February 16 vs Wenatchee Wild: Pucks & Paws Night
Enjoy the Tomahawks game with your dog! Fans can also bring dog food and other pet care items, which will be collected to support local animal shelters.
March 8/9 vs Jamestown Ironmen: Fan Appreciation Weekend
The Tomahawks will say "thank you" to their fans with special events, activities, and giveaways, including $20,000 in gift cards, during the team's final regular-season games at the War Memorial Arena.
Fans will also have the opportunity to receive a Jack Ham Bobble Head giveaway during a game to be announced at a later date.
The Tomahawks open the season on Saturday, Sept. 8 with two games in Port Huron, Mich. before returning to the War Memorial for the home opener on Saturday, Sept. 29 vs. the division-rival Michigan Warriors.
