Toledo's Pearce Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Rookie Jordan Pearce of the Toledo Walleye is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for March 15-21.

The 23 year old went 2-0-0 with a goals-against average of 1.51 and a save percentage of.954 in two appearances for the week. Pearce made 63 saves in his two games including a 33-save effort to help Toledo beat Cincinnati 3-2 on March 20.

In his first season with the Walleye, Pearce is 14-13-2 with two shutouts, a 3.55 goals-against average and a.892 save percentage in 33 appearances. He has also appeared in five games for the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey league this season, posting a record of 1-2-0 with a goals-against average of 3.82 and a save percentage of.875. Pearce made one start for the Griffins last season, suffering the loss while making 33 saves in 59 minutes of play.

Before turning professional, the Anchorage, Alaska native played four seasons at the University of Notre Dame from 2004-2009 going 59-26-7 with 12 shutouts, a 1.98 goals-against average and a.918 save percentage in 94 games.
