Walleye Notes
- A Two Point Week! The Walleye had to settle for just two points over the three games played this week. Toledo led or was tied for the lead in all three games heading to the third period, but was unable to collect a win. The Walleye remain in the seventh spot in the ECHL's American Conference Standings and would make the 2010 Kelly Cup Playoffs if the season ended today.
- A Fantastic Record! Currently, Toledo sits at 205,135 for the year and with every game establishes a new mark (1977-78 Goaldiggers 177,988 was the old record). Toledo is currently the top team in average attendance also at 6,216 per contest. Ontario sits at 6,157 per game.
- Going for Four! Walleye forward Chris Robertson struck for four goals over the past week. Chris scored twice on Wednesday night in Trenton, then he collected the first two goals in Reading Saturday night. Robertson has five goals and two assists in the month of March.
- Going for Four Part Two! Newly acquired forward Tony Romano collected four assists in his Walleye debut Wednesday night. Tony also added a goal to his Walleye total on Saturday night.
- A Shootout in Reading! Saturday night the Walleye found themselves in a shootout for the first time since December 13th against Elmira. It also marked the second time in two games in Reading that the two teams went that far to decide a game. On October 29th, Reading beat Toledo 4-3 in a shootout. On the Hook
- Gametime! Toledo returns home for a Friday night tilt with arch-rival Cincinnati. The Walleye have a 6-3-0-0 record against the Cyclones this season. Toledo has outscored Cincinnati 31-27 in the nine games this year. The Walleye will complete a home at home with the Cyclones Saturday night in Cincinnati. On Sunday, the Walleye travel to Wheeling for a date with the Nailers. It will be the first game against Wheeling since January 15th (8-4 Toledo win).
- Promotions! Friday night is St. CatTricks Day with the Walleye! That night will feature a Green Wig Giveaway! It's also Youth Hockey Night with the Walleye!
